I have natural 4a hair and i want to know exactly what should i do to make it look really straight and sleek when i flat iron my hair at home. When i do it at home, it usually looks puffy. How to make my natural hair look really straight and sleek?
Buy a shampoo and conditioner that says its made to smooth out your hair.
Buy a bottle of Farouk Biosilk silk therapy, use this after your hair is dry and before you flat iron it. It makes your hair so soft and smooth. It is a bit expensive, but worth it for what it does.
I recently tried a sample of Matrix Sleek Look lite styling creme and it is really amazing. My hair gets frizzy and I have tried a lot of cremes to put on my hair while it's wet to let it air dry and it won't be frizzy, but I always had to blow dry and flat iron it to get it sleek looking. This stuff really worked for me and I plan to buy a bottle here soon. I really reccommend it!
My other advice it when you dry your hair. Don't let it air dry at all. Part your hair while it's still wet and start drying it with the dryer pointed downward and never upward. Use your fingers to gently run through your strands as you dry it in sections. How to make my natural hair look really straight and sleek?
If your black,
like me what you need to do is,
condtion it for about a half an hour
or over night (looks great when done)
wash it out,
dry it, but while its damp
put hair grease in it,
and braind it up into like 6 braids all over your head,
and when its dry
unbraid one of them
comb it out, get a section of it
and flat iron it, from the root, but make sure you use
a parting comb and comb your hair while you flaten it,
and it wont look fluffy =]
Thats exactly what my hair was like until I thinned it. I reccomend you do it yourself because its really easy and its almost impossible to screw up. Just buy thinning shears and start thinning that nest out! [lol]
You can buy thinning shears at any hair salon or walmart Also use conditioner..if you have any other questions you can mail me :)...
