I am willing to make my own hair conditioner
if works better and has fewer chemicals than
mainstream conditioner. I am 60 years old
with fairly dry hair medium length, light brown
and I color my sideburns once or twice a month.
Also if you could give me instructions and recommended
frequency of use that would be greatWhat is the best natural hair conditioner?
Mayonnaise
Here's a great site with some natural ingredients:http://www.cancerlynx.com/haircare.htmlWhat is the best natural hair conditioner?
mayonaise or olive oil
avocado...mashed
Ingredients:
1 avocado (peeled and mashed)
coconut milk
Directions:
Combine mashed avacodo with some coconut milk. Mash together until its smooth and about as thick as shampoo. Comb it through the hair and let sit for 10 -15 minutes, wash out.
This works!
Do NOT use mayonnaise on your hair.
Mayonnaise adds excess oil to your hair and you'll spend a great deal of time trying wash it out. The excess oil will cause build up on the hair cuticle which will make your hair extremely, extremely limp and dull.
Plus it has a horrible odor. You'd be just as good off to buy a higher end conditioner plus it smells much better. There are plenty of gentle conditioners out there. Making your own conditioner at home can be messy and give you the opposite effect of what it was you were going for in the first place.
