How are extensions bad for your natural hair?

I hear getting extensions is bad for your hair, how is that so? What does it do to it that is bad?How are extensions bad for your natural hair?
I don't really know but I've seen a lot of news stories about female celebrities who have been experiencing ';bald spots'; due to their hair extensions. And I can only imagine that they are buying the best kind. :-)How are extensions bad for your natural hair?

as for glue in ons, they literally glue onto your scalp and this leaves your scalp inable to breathe and may cause fungus
Well, the only ones I've heard that really destroy your hair are the glue in ones, and that's clearly because you're putting a bunch of super glue in your hair, and when you go to take them out it just tears apart your hair. If you're gonna get them, go for professional (where they sow or braid them in) or just get the clip ins.
