I have never dyed my hair before. I am thinking of buying Garnier Movida which is a non-permanent hair colorant. I want to go blonde, but not too blonde as I don't think I would suit it with me not using this product before. Any suggestions? My natural hair colour is light brown. Would anything go wrong If I dyed my hair at home to golden blonde?
My hair is a very very dark blonde, almost brownish and I dye it light golden blonde. Usually, if you follow the guides that they have on the box (match your hair to the before picture) the after picture is pretty accurate to what you will get. I ALWAYS do a tester lock of hair on the bottom so that I can test how long to leave it on, even if I've used the product before. The one time I didn't do a tester lock, I ended up with strawberry blonde hair instead of golden. I really recommend doing a tester lock. I also would recommend starting with highlights instead of doing an all out dye. Herbal Essences has a really nice highlighting kit. If you are doing highlights, get the kind of kit that has a cap and a hook to pull pieces of hair out. If you have darker eyebrows - this will work good for you because you'll keep your light brown color as lowlights and have blonde highlights - very pretty! You might need someone to help you with the back, but it's easy to do.
I have never used Movida but I have had good results with other Garnier hair colors.
One piece of advice - if you like your results - you will get addicted! Remember what color you buy so if you like it you can get the same color easily next time.My natural hair colour is light brown. Would anything go wrong If I dyed my hair at home to golden blonde?
