How do you think dark brown(natural hair color) and light brown highlights would look on me?

Hey i am in 8th grade and for graduation i want to get highlights. People say i should get light brown and dark brown ( My natural hair color)How do you think dark brown(natural hair color) and light brown highlights would look on me?
If you have cool toned skin, then light ash brown or ash blond would be fine as highlights, although burgandy highlights or ash brown highlights might be better with dark brown hair %26amp; brown eyes for cool skin tones (winter coloring).

If you have warm toned skin, then light golden brown for highlights would be better than ash. I'm betting on warm tones with autumn coloring. Remember, with highlighting, a little bit goes a long way. Think how gradually the sun does it in the summer.

See http://www.colormebeautiful.com or get the 2008 version of the book. It's all about color analysis. Of the four seasons, you'd mainly be deciding if you are a winter or an autumn. I say that because you have dark brown hair %26amp; I'm guessing brown eyes. Your friends might help you decide. Think about your most flattering colors in clothing, too. If you throw on a T-shirt without makeup on the wkend, do you look just dandy in a white one (winter coloring) or does it make you look washed out? Do you look more energetic and sunny in a yellow or yellow-gold or gray-green one or even brown? (autumn) Or do those colors make you rush for some makeup, even for washing the family car, because you look so sick? Ask your family, too.

There are other companies, such as Beauty for All Seasons, that do color analysis as well. I had the Color Me Beautiful book from the 80's, but just got the one from 2008 recently at Safeway. The newer one has a little more on highlighting hair. Plus, it's always fun to see new pictures.

I'd go easy on experimenting with major changes just before graduation. I cut my own hair just before h.s. graduation with disastrous results. Better just to get a trim for now %26amp; experiment with highlights or radical cuts in the summer.
